In the recent years, free to air receivers have become much more efficient and easy to use than the early FTA receiver models.  In the old days (only 3 years ago), receivers were built with very basic functions and features.  They allowed you to connect them to your personal computer via serial cable or USB cable.  When new updates were released for your particular model you would simply download the new FTA software update (also known as autoroll BIN file), you would then connect your FTA receiver to your PC or laptop.  On your computer you would have to open a loader program that you usually run every time that you update your receiver.  You would run this program on your PC which would load the new updated file or autoroll BIN file to your receiver, updating it and giving the user their channels back.

The more recent receivers work on the same premiss except they don’t require being plugged into a PC.  With these FTA receivers the user must download the latest autoroll BIN FTA software and upload it to a simple USB jump drive.  USB jump drives are extremely common and available at any computer or electronics store.  They are inexpensive with prices starting around ten dollars.  After the autoroll BIN file is on the USB drive you can take the drive out of your computer and plug it into your FTA receiver model.  The receiver itself will have a program built into it which it uses to download the FTA software and update.  This can most likely be accessed through your FTA receiver’s on screen menu.

Downloading FTA software and autoroll BIN FTA files can be a more difficult job then loading it to your receiver.  Because the internet is so huge and vast, finding a website to consistently download from can prove to be a harder and more timely mission.  My only advise on this subject would be to study and research as much as can before committing to one site.  Find the site which offers the most FTA support for your exact receiver model and make.  Each receiver is different and requires you to download a seperate FTA file for each box.  The most well known receiver manufacturers are Pansat, Viewsat, Sonicview, Coolsat, NFusion, and Captiveworks.

FTA receivers also have other types of software that are optional for download.  Some of these would include Flashes and Loaders.  If you don’t know what these mean or are, do your research before attempting to alter your FTA receiver in any way.

The computer software world has come a long way since the first simple personal computers rolled off assembly lines in the late 70′s. Thanks to dedicated software developers, there have been vast improvements to the performance, function and usability of computers today. Every year, there are major developments that lead to faster software and hardware applications that improve the performance of computers for personal and business users. Just in the last decade, more people than ever are using computers to perform basic functions of their jobs and lives. The future holds many more new advances. So what are the top five advances in computer software just in the last few years that stand out in the history of computers?

Data storage and processing

Over just the last ten years, there has been a huge improvement in the amount of data that personal computers can store and process at once. When a 256 MB system used to be state of the art in computer memory, now we are lucky to have computers managing over 30 GB routinely. Thanks to the development of Microsoft Windows, computers can easily handle multiple applications running all at once. And there are many options in the storage of data, whether it is backup software, external drives or web-based storage ability – we can manage much more data than ever before thanks to these developments.

Internet applications

With the birth of the World Wide Web in the 90′s, human beings became more connected to the rest of the world than ever before. And we couldn’t have done this without software applications like Internet Explorer or Netscape to provide browsers that we use to “surf” the Net. Then came instant messaging and telephony applications that allowed us to talk with people in real time. As we move into the future, we will be even more connected via use of mobile devices like cell phones, texting units and GPS systems.

Entertainment

When personal computers came out, they were very clunky, albeit they included some entertainment value in the form of simple programs and games. Some could even be programmed to chime little tunes. But now, thanks to the plethora of entertainment applications, we can set up our home computers to link to our home television and music systems to enjoy a total entertainment experience. And if we want to take our entertainment with us, we have Mp3 devices to carry music and videos with us thanks to software development in that area.

Gaming industry

Just in the last ten years, the advances in the gaming industry have been tremendous. Now there are realistic virtual reality video and computer game software that creates a fully interactive experience for players. Thanks to software advances, gamers are taking their playing to the next level, competing against other players around the world in real time.

Social media and networking

One of the biggest and best developments in software has been the advent of social media and networking software, which enable computer and mobile device users to interact with other people anywhere and anytime. Now people are connecting with each other as never before.

Having breast surgery is a life changing decision. No matter what surgery you are having, you want to make sure you have the most up-to-date and technologically advanced procedure possible. There have been several new advancements in breast augmentation in the past couple of years to help you have the safest and most satisfactory experience possible.

New Breast Implants

For a long time, only saline implants were available to most women who wanted to undergo breast augmentation. The FDA recently approved the use of silicone breast implants for all women. Before this approval, silicone implants were reserved for those who needed breast reconstruction or for those who were not candidates for saline implants.

There are three types of breast implants available:

Saline Silicone “Gummy Bear” (cohesive gel)

All three options for breast implants have their pros and cons. The saline in saline breast implants is easily absorbed by your body if the implant ruptures for any reason. The disadvantages are that they may ripple under the surface of your breast and they may not look as natural on women with smaller breasts.

Silicone breast implants do not cause health risks with the newer types. The newest implants will not leak if they rupture. There is a chance; however, that you will not notice there has been a rupture because they do not leak. Silicone implants look and feel more natural than saline.

The new Gummy Bear breast implants are very soft, strong, and pliable. No matter how they are pulled, pushed, or even if they are cut, they will never lose their natural shape. The term “gummy bear” refers to the filling inside the implant. Just like a gummy bear candy, the implant is not a liquid that can leak. It is a cohesive gel that cannot be deformed.

3D Model of Your Breast Augmentation

Some breast surgeons offer a 3D rendering program to help you decide what your body will look like with breast augmentation. Special digital photos will be taken of your body in 360 degrees. The 3D software program takes these photos and renders a model of your body with the breast size you desire. You can look at the renderings and decide if you want larger or smaller breast implants.

Sometimes, women decide the size they were thinking about is too large or what they really need is a breast lift. These 3D renderings help you and your breast surgeon decide what is best for you and what procedure will help you achieve your goals. Having an image of yourself with the breast implants you are interested in helps you understand how you will look and feel at that size.
