The need to communicate and to be entertained has been an essential part of living in the present generation. In the olden times, children go out and play games. Women knit on their porches while waiting for their husbands to come home. Now, families do not need to wait for six o’clock for their husbands or fathers to come home to tell them that they love them.
More and more ways are being invented to make communication easier and faster. Wireless connections have come to be so that people can connect with their family, friends, clients, and personnel anytime and anywhere. Even news, music videos, and TV series can be watched through wireless Internet connections. In spite of this very efficient wireless innovation, having a wired connection is still the more reliable and more stable option to go for.
People should be thankful to the person who invented coaxial cable way back in 1929. That because of this kind of copper, transmitting the latest UFC fight can now be seen from a hundred thousand miles away. Watching the latest episode of Supernatural can be seen by the expectant fans. And the kids can still get to experience the old school black-and-white Mickey Mouse episodes of the 80′s. And all these can be seen from one’s home because the cable TV companies use coaxial cable from their community antenna to connect to the users’ homes. Even telephone companies sometimes use this kind of cable to connect from their central office to the telephone poles situated near the users.
Communication is one of the keys to a successful relationship. Cable TV is one of man’s best inventions to keep the entertainment business alive. Having these two in people’s lives is like having a piece of heaven on earth.

Windows enthusiast Sandro Villinger has a nice summary of some of the known and unknown Windows 8 features that various folks have discovered since internal “milestone” builds began leaking over the past couple of months.
Villinger makes a passing mention of something I hadn’t heard of in hisWindows 8 Top 10: Something named (or codenamed) “Protogon.”
From his May 31 IT World article:
“I’ve also dug up traces of some underlying file system changes that I couldn’t quite make sense of, such as an entirely new file system driver called ”NT Protogon FS driver” (Sony vgp-bps2b battery), which looks like a kernel mode driver for some sort of (yet unknown) file system called Protogon. It’s unclear, whether this is a major new file system or just some minor subsystem.”
I asked Rafael Rivera of “WithinWindows” fame as to whether he’d heard of Protogon. He did a quick check and said that whatever Protogon is, it seems to incorporate database-like concepts like transactions, cursors, rows and tables. He said it includes a string, which seems to indicate Protogon could replace or at least emulate NTFS (the NT file system) as needed. Rivera also wondered if Protogon might be an update of the ”Jet Blue” file system/extensible storage engine adapted for the latest version of Active Directory and Exchange Server.
There were a lot of rumors early on about Windows 8, including that it might have a brand-new file system. Now I’m wondering what this thing really is. WinFS revisited? (WinFS was a new storage engine that was supposed to be part of Windows Vista, but which was largely shelved, save some concepts that went to the SQL team.)
I doubt we’ll hear anything about Protogon during Windows Chief Steven Sinofsky’s appearance at the AllThingsD conference on Wednesday. (Sinofsky may show off the Windows 8 interface for tablets, according to rumors and reports.)
Microsoft is building a new file system into Windows 8, according to reports.
The software giant has named the file system “Protogon” and references to it can be found in the latest leaked copies of Windows 8. Itworld discovered references to an “NT Protogon FS driver”, which appears to be a kernel mode driver for a new file system called Protogon (Dell xps m1330 Batteries). Mary Jo Foley did some further digging with Rafael Rivera and it appears that Protogon incorporates database-like concepts like transactions, cursors, rows and tables. Rivera says Protogon includes a string, which seems to indicate Protogon could replace or at least emulate NTFS file system.
Protogon sounds like Microsoft’s original concept of Windows Future Storage (WinFS). The codename (WinFS) originally made its way into Longhorn (Windows Vista) builds during the early beta phases. WinFS was first demonstrated in 2003 at the company’s Professional Developers Conference. Microsoft promised an advanced storage subsystem designed to manage data by means of a database. The WinFS database would allow any type of information to be stored in it alongside a defined schema for the data type. The idea was to speed up searching and data sharing between applications. Microsoft ditched the idea before Windows Vista was brought to market.
Windows 8 is expected to be released in 2012 and include a new tablet UI, cloud syncing abilities and enhanced sensor support.
